[comp.os.minix] Various questions

Two new tty drivers have been posted to the net since 1.3, and I
have had success with neither. The Hannam tty driver uses some
assembly files (klib88.as and mpx88.asd) with which I am not familiar.
Yes, I know about klib88.s and mpx88.s, but the .as files are quite different
from minix assembler code. Do I even need these files? If so, has anybody
out there changed them to work or gotten this driver to work under minix
with cc and asld.

Also, just on the 5th of January, another tty was posted by Bruce Evans.
The files compiled ok, but I get a missing reference of _inportb at link.
Apparently, from the makefile, there was a file, inportb.c/s which is
missing. Has anybody had success with that?

I'm seriously considering brain-transplnting an Orchid Tiny-Turbo board
to make life easier with my 4.77 Mz cretin box. Any recommendations on this?
Does it even work with Minix (in fast mode of course)? Any better options
which are affordable?

Finally, TurboC. Does anybody know of any diffs available to the public?
I have Tc1.5 A86, Masm. Much better than cc, asld speed wise.

Many thanks for any help, hints, info.
