I am using the tty driver posted by Hannam, partly because I am using an ega and it gives it a much cleaner interface, and partly because I tried adding the official tty driver just after it was split into 3 .c files and couldn't get it to work(hung system during boot). It also has a few more ansi escape sequences added to it, making for a pretty decent termcap file, and easier porting of unix programs. It has a few quirks in the way it is handling my ega, though. Has anybody done any work on improving it, or adding any more features(hannam, perhaps). I haven't used the rs232 part of it yet, so I don't even know if it works properly. It would be interesting to see the hannam driver and the ast/be drivers merged, with 1 tty file, 1 rs232 file, and a choice of two files for the console (mono/cga & ega/vga), it might make the code much cleaner at the expense of compiling for one set of displays or the other. Could someone please send me a copy of Hannam's tty driver. I've been out of town and it seems that it missed it. See you Wally Strzelec <x110ws@tamunix.tamu.edu> I must have slipped a disk; my pack hurts.
