A major apology to all, I should have tested the XMODEM I posted. Andrew's maxim must be observed,"You have to Test before you can Post". It seems my archive copy died somehow and is corrupted. The problem is fairly easy to find, it took me 10 minutes to get 4.3BSD to compile without complaint though running it was another matter, it crashed producing a core dump. I can't think what is causing it. Minix may have more luck, I still have to try. If you want to try and fix it yourself look for an area where the comments have run into the code. I am sure that is the only place things went wrong. I have been busy lately and my memory fails me. If interests warrants I will repost. I have also been asked for Kermit source, when was the last posting of the Minix port? Is it worth redoing that? What was the last revision, I should check the currency of my copy. (I am refering to Kermit) bfn, Paul
