------- A year ago we also got the tape distribution. The boot part worked fine, but when the file system was started it crashed due to lack of space. I did not have the enough time to check the reason and fix it. It could have been that we had the tape distribution for 4.1 and we had a vax for with 4.2. Anyway, my opinion is that the best way to use the mag_tape is to work with the file system as a remote file server. The students can study the code and practice with it. The preface of Andy's book explains this better. Those of you who got experiences from other people, please forward them to me. Thnx.
