Perhaps the subject line is misleading, since it might not be cc that is at fault. I am finishing off upgrading to Minix 1.2. I've been running with a 1.2 kernel and compiling the commands. When compiling the commands I've had /dev/fd0 mounted on /tmp to give enough space on /tmp to compile the bigger commands. When cc chokes during a compile, bad things happen to the floppy disk file system that was mounted on /tmp--the cem* files on /tmp don't get removed correctly. The inode(s) for the /tmp/cem* files get cleared (count apparently == 0) but the directory entries don't get removed. FS then panics when I try to rm the files /tmp/cem*. Note that none of these problems appear when I don't mount the floppy on /tmp. I don't have time right now to debug this problem, so if anyone has fixed or duplicated the problem I'd like to know about it. Thanks.
