I am now sitting down to work out the new version of the Minix compatibility
list. This new list will include the 1.3 release and better coverage of the
ST list (hopefully I have the list ready in time to coincide with the
theoretical release of 1.3 from P-H).
Before I can finish the list, I need some questions answered.
a. What machines does PC Minix 1.3 run on? It is probably pretty safe to
assume that it will run on machines that earlier versions of Minix ran
on, but I want to ensure accuracy of the list. If you have Minix 1.3
running, please send e-mail indicating the hardware that you are running
it on, whether the hard disk works, fixes required, etc.
b. What are the possible variations on ST Minix? I am rather unfamiliar with
the ST and what kinds of extra goodies are available for the ST. If
someone could send me e-mail describing the state of ST Minix, it would
be appreciated.
c. Is there anyone in the Orange County, California area that has PC Minix 1.3
that I may borrow briefly to test on the wide variety of machine that I
have available at work?
