WHAM, WHAM, WHAM... Uugh! WHAM, WHAM, WHAM... Ouch! WHAM, WHAM, WHAM... *&^%$&^$! O.K. I guess that I am now tired of hitting my head against the wall. I have a 10MHz AT clone w/ 1.5M RAM and a 65Mb rll hard disk with four partitions. I have had ver 1.2 running for months now. (Congrats to Dr. T. et. al.) I have been trying to upgrade to 1.3d using the files off the Mars Hotel BBS with no success. I have compiled the files in the lib and command directories without any trouble. I can compile everything in the fs, mm, kernel and tools dirs as well. I have also built a new boot disk without getting any error messages. When I try to reboot using 1.3d, the '=' key gets me to the 1.3 notice, the ram disk gets loaded with the contents of /dev/hd3, /etc/message shows up, login asks for login and password, I get a '#' prompt and then..... NOTHING! No new '#' if I hit return, no F1 report, no F2 report, etc. I must assume that this is not normal. I would be most gratefull for a crc listing of the modules that make up the OS. I have checked the crc's for all the source code. So I would like to see if the objects that make up the OS are the right size. I have also had limited success creating a libc.a, but I am going to try dono's lib order to see if that helps. Many thanks, Daniel Poirot killer!nasa Lockheed B16 phone (713)483-2426 2400 Nasa Rd. 1 phax (713)483-6120 Houston, TX 77536 "A mind is a terrible thing." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
