Hello, I am new to this conference and have a few questions. I am
thinking of getting a UNIX system for a IBM computer that I plan to
buy. So far all my searching in the UNIX magazines have lead me to
think that UNIX OS's like MICROPORT and SCO are too expensive. The
sysop of the BBS that I am writing this message recommended MINIX.
So I read some of the messages and have found MINIX to be a highly
UNIX compatible OS. Now, How can I get a copy of the OS. Is it Public
Domain? Who is in charge of it? Is there a tutorial? Does it also run
MS-DOS programs? Does it support Multitasking? AS you can see, I have
a lot of questions. Can anbody lead me in the right direction ? please..
