I am trying to get hold of a tar utility for minix or msdos that can un tar a file that I have. Failing that does anyone know the tar file format ?

Failing that does anyone know the tar file format ? You might try bringing up the PDtar utility package. It'll give tar and untar capability in 'old' tar format and ANSI format. Very neat and in the archives. ger
