Hi again, another problem arose yesterday... I received a source for emacs (no, not the usual one, a campus-version) and I tried to compile it under MINIX. And the really neat LD-command ever returns "wrong magic number", whatever I do. Compiling the kernel or the fs works fine but this source won't do. Neither a single source-code (tried with make and cc) nor the complete program tried with make and Makefiles in several versions. My first problem is to locate the error, since I don't know the meaning of the message! I'm no UNIX-wizard, just able to program VAX/VMS... Thanks of any help (too for my tos-problem) M.
