I took a look at the diffs available at louie.udel.edu and
would like to know "what are they diffs for???"
I guess my basic question is "are they the diffs to go
from 1.1 to 1.2" or "are they fixes to the 1.2 we get when
we buy the 'released' version of 1.2" ???

Whatever is on louie does not belong there. They no longer maintain an updated archive. The stuff that is there is probably what was originally the diffs to get from "1.1" to "1.2". I put them there at least 2 years ago and I know I have never updated them. This list is actually distributed from louie.udel.edu, but I (info-minix-request) am actually at "twg.com", which is where I maintain the list from. I do not maintain archives at TWG, since there are a number of places they can be obtained from that are better maintained then I would probably have time for. I have some archive information, but there are others on this list who keep much better track of what is available and where, and post an update to this list occassionally.
