[comp.os.minix] Compiling ELLE under PC Minix 1.3

sjones%camp.hampshire.edu@cunyvm.cuny.edu (Steve Jones) (05/04/89)

Has anyone gotten the sources for ELLE from bugs and tried to compile
it under PC Minix 1.3? I recall it being said a long time ago that
it had to be done under PC/IX - is this definitely the case? I've
ripped a major portion of the functionality out of it in an effort
to bring it down in size, but every time I get the same depressing
message:

        asld: out of memory

This is not a problem of too many other other things going on, it
looks like asld just can fit all the symbols. I think... At any rate,
all suggestions and hints welcome.
