However, whenever I try to write to a disk with it I just get write error=-22. I'm wondering if this is a bug in the original alltar, as I've seen and downloaded various patches/fixes for alltar, but being new to the system can't decide which of these fixes to apply to get a working alltar. Can anyone out there supply the net with a list of quintessential ST patches/fixes and maybe create a new alltar2.tar that contains the best of these combined together as cdiffs that can be applied to the PH kernel/fs/mm to create a new and working ST kernel. Add these with more HAVES so new features like the fast_copy can be added by simply changing HAVEFASTCOPY. HCJ is probably the best person to do this as he seems to be the current ST minix guru, but I wouldn't want to shove this job onto him. Maybe STers could comment to the net as to which patches/fixes are the best to make this compilation easier. Just a thought.
