[comp.os.minix] dos{read,write,dir} for 1.44M drive

I installed the modified floppy.c which allows us to access 3 1/2" drives.
This modification allows me to successfully make and access file systems 
on my 1.44M 3 1/2" drive.

However, when I try to read a DOS disk using dos{read,write,dir}, I get
a message to the effect that the floppy is neither a 360K nor a 1.2M disk.

Has anyone modified dos{read,write,dir} to circumvent this limitation?
