[comp.os.minix] Minix tiny -- can it be small?

nall@nu.cs.fsu.edu (John Nall) (07/25/89)

As I understand it, Minix originally used the tiny model, because the
asld loader could not handle anything else. Since the compiler now
has the -i parameter, this presumably has changed. However, the
Turbo C package for building Minix by compiling under MS-DOS
and then building a Minix disk is set up for the default to be
the tiny model also. I'd like to change this for the default to
be the small model, and don't see any reason why there should be a
problem. But perhaps I'm missing something. If so, would someone
please point it out??
