I am installing minix on a 286 system which has an internal modem (COM1) and a Logitech Bus Mouse (COM2). The problem is that the rs232.c section of the kernel is unable to deal with the mouse controller, and hangs the system when it attempts to load the root file system. I have tried changing the mouse controller's IRQ line, but to no avail. If anyone has dealt with this problem before, I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice.
