Hello World, When I'm doing a large program in the background _and_ I want to do something in the foreground I run into the problem of not enough memory. I reduced my ram disk to the absolute minimum (170k) but to no avail. I am running minix 1.4a on an as far as I can see 100% IBM compatible Taiwan 8088 at 8Mhz with a Seagate ST225 20 Meg HD with 10 Meg to Dos and 10 Meg to Minix. Would it be possible to insert one or the other memory extention card in to the computer to increase the amount of available memory for Minix, or is such a thing only for 80286 and larger? If possible which crad are best supported by Minix? Or is there a way to do away with the ramdisk and put everything on the hard disk so that I have all my 640 kB available for Minix and programs? Thank in advance for any response. Met vriendelijke groeten, Wim van Dorst (wsincc@tuerc3.urc.tue.nl)
