[comp.os.minix] comp.sources.minix?

There is a *lot* of useful stuff in comp.os.minix, but it's hard to dig out
of the mass of postings. Perhaps it's time for a comp.sources.minix?

I second that motion. So maybe we should put it up for discussion. However,
let's stick to one comp.sources.minix (instead of starting to discuss the
creation of sub groups such as comp.sources.minix.pc, comp.sources.minix.st
[and soon to come] comp.sources.minix.ami). There's a lot of useful and
portable stuff around that (can be made to) work(s) on all system variants.

Another unmoderated Minix group just for sources wouldn't be of that much
help; there will always be "noise" on unmoderated sources groups (remember
net.sources? See Also alt.sources for a current example).

This gets hashed over every few months, and nothing ever changes. Maybe
it's best that way. A moderator would just add a time lag to postings.

So who wants a moderator? I could probably do the job with the current
volume that has been coming thru (i.e. a trickle), and I've been doing
essentially the same thing with the listserv archive.
