I'm using v1.3b. I made the changes to build.c and bootblok.s and was able to load and run the boot disk. (put 0xaa55 in last word of bootblok). Fsck worked fine on the root file (this is bios based). Trying to boot Minix, it just hunk -- does v1.3b run off 3 1/2" 720k floppy disks? marty ARPA: leisner.henr@xerox.com GV: leisner.henr NS: leisner:wbst139:xerox UUCP: hplabs!arisia!leisner

I *HAVE* had a problem with the system I want to run MINIX on - an AT&T 6300WGS. Apparently some machines are a lot less IBM-like in their FDC's than in other areas. - Pete +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | PETER FLASS BITNET: EPRF@SNYCENVM (PREFERRED) | | DIRECTOR OF COMPUTING SERVICES INTERNET: ESCFLASS@UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU | | SUNY EMPIRE STATE COLLEGE AT&TNET: (518)587-2100 X350 | | 2 UNION AVENUE | | SARATOGA SPRINGS NY 12866 "THIS SPACE FOR RENT" | | | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+
