I've collected the "diffs" for converting Minix source so that it can be compiled with Microsoft C compiler. It appears that these diffs were applied to version 1.2 of minix. We'd really rather convert Minix V1.3 to the Microsoft "environment." I'd like to hear from people who have experience doing this or who know the system cold. In particular, we're concerned about the ORDER of the conversion. Should we: 1. upgrade v1.2 to v1.3 FIRST, then hack in the MSC diffs or, 2. apply the MSC diffs to v1.2 source, then do the upgrades. It may be obvious to you, but I haven't looked closely enough and haven't a clue as to which way to go. Please post answers or send e-mail, as convenient. E-mail to: abc@brl.mil OR cooper@udel.edu Thanks! -- Brinton Cooper
