Morning Everybody, I had a friend of mine pull Minix-Kermit(a variation on C-Kermit) off of Columbia. I was going through the information from Adrian Godwin and was about to apply the changes he recommends but had some hesitation because it was not really clear... Has anyone gone through and using the changes that Adrian suggested? Also, I did try the executable that was enclosed because I was not sure if it was really neccisary to make the changes he recommended. I ran into some mixed success in running that version of Kermit, it fired up and seemed to function well as I was able to dial out and connect to a remote source but that it where is died. I was not able to get any communications with the remote source. From what I saw, I think that it might have been one of two things; one, I know the connnection required 8-bit and I did not see a way in Kermit to change or check what I was using, and two, I need to apply the changes Adrian suggested. The C-Kermit manual that I have says the default for communications is 7-bit and to change it use "set terminal byte(?) 8" but the Kermit I have does not understand "set terminal"... Comments and help welcome... Sean C. Higgins higgins%liso1.decnet@crd.ge.com GE Lighting Cleveland OH
