[comp.os.minix] source for uuencode/decode wanted

I would like to know if somebody could either email or post
source code for uuencode and uudecode?  We do not have these utilities on our
machine which runs Xenix V7, and needless to say I can't decode some 
files which come across the net.

If this code cannot be made available, could someone please post suitable details
of the coding scheme/algorithm used so that I may write the software needed?
