[comp.os.minix] Minix List Problems

INFO@vm1.nodak.edu (ND HECN E-mail Postmaster) (09/27/89)

I have apparently introduced some problems into portions of the
Info-Minix list distribution (especially the MINIX-L redistribution lists)
which may be causing some problems and unsolicited messages.

This may have contributed to the spurious message that Andy got to the
effect that he wasn't authorized to send to MINIX-L! My intent was NOT
to exclude anyone but only ensure that all the participants saw all the
messages (ie. that they were all sent to Info-Minix@UDEL.EDU and not
accidentally sent to the redistribution lists...).

I appologize for the inconvenience and am working to get the situation
corrected as soon as I can get the information I need. Again I am very
sorry for the problems I have apparently introduced. While the MINIX-L
redistribution list is quite a bit smaller than many of our other lists
it does have a different setup because of the usenet gateway and previous
Internet address which we were preserving.

I hope to have this cleared up withing 24 hours but I don't want to make
things worse in the process (if that's possible).

          Marty
