[comp.os.minix] ash

donw@rwing.UUCP (Don Wennick) (09/29/89)

First I want to say, THIS SHELL IS WONDERFUL! I'm looking forward to
the sources for it. It's great to see shell scripts executing in a
timely fashion!

Now, with that out of the way, a small problem. I've made ash my login
shell on both my personal and my root accounts, and everything works
fine on the personal account. However, when I'm logged in as root,
mkdir returns "permission denied"! If anything, I'd expect the opposite.

The only thing I could think of that was relevant was the SUID bit,
and it's on (mkdir is -rwsr-xr-x).

Any suggestions?
