[net.news.group] net.bizarre is dead at decwrl

johnsson@decwrl.UUCP (Richard Johnsson) (10/31/85)

Decwrl (which has just recently met the technical requirements of being a
backbone site) heartily supports Gene Spafford in his removal of net.bizarre.
The deletion has allowed us to reclaim much needed disk space. Net.bizarre
made a brief comeback last weekend, but it has now been aliased to junk.

If by some chance net.bizarre (with its original "charter") should happen to
become a legitimate group, we would probably still refuse to carry it.

On the other hand...

I never read any of net.internat, but it sounds like it was a very good
group and carried useful (and economically justifiable!) information.
It should probably be sanctioned as a group somewhere in the hierarchy.
It is unfortunate that net.internat wasn't started within the rules.

Please keep your return flames to yourself.
