Hi, I am trying to port MINIX onto the Sequent Symmetry. The problem I face is that there are a few routines written in VAX assembly which cannot be ported directly. Is anybody out there, aware of VAX to 386 cross assembler ? If anybody else had problems porting minix onto sequent, I would like to get in touch. srikanth (srikanth@cse.ogc.edu)

Will the person who did the VAX port (???!!!) please raise his or her hand. As a note to the original poster, the base version of MINIX is for the INTEL chips, and should work on a 386 without problems. Andy Tanenbaum (ast@cs.vu.nl)
