Is there anyone here who hasn't yet made their three copies of Minix
that they are allowed to distribute for educational purposes? I'm a poor
college student who can't scrape up the money to buy minix, although I'd
really like to experiment with it. If I had the money, I'd buy it right
away - but hell, I still owe a few hundred bucks to the school and I only
have a few tens of dollars left in the checking account. I'm surviving on
the little bit of money I can get from my parents - and I can't get a job
because this area is economically depressed - and, for Socorro, that's
a big time understatement.
I hope I don't get flamed for this, because it seems a touch
like asking for a copy of something like "Lotus 1-2-3" or "Space Quest III"
on internet, but, he who buys Minix is entitled to make three copies for
his associates, so I'm not encouraging anyone to break the law. Please
