Two problems concerning the use of elle with 1.5.0 (although this is the old binary of elle - I have not recompiled it with 1.5.0). (1) With the new /usr/src/tools/etc_termcap copied over to /etc/termcap elle goes sort of wild if ctrl-k is used in rapid succession on a file. With the old /etc/termcap, it is ok (but the old one won't support the new man command). (2) Here is the real kicker, however....logging in as a regular user (not root), and using elle, I immediately get a line which says: SBXERR: 0 Swapout creat err (A,B,C,D,S,W,?). However, as root this does not occur. Any ideas????? ====================================================================== John Nall Internet: nall@nu.cs.fsu.edu Computer Science Department Florida State University "Today, a Moon Moth -- tomorrow, a Sea Dragon Conquerer!!"

Any ideas????? I ran into this before. All I did to fix this was chmod +s elle, and it worked. So, set the setuid and setgid bits for elle, and you'll be in business (Or does that only set the setuid bit? No matter, it works). ||+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++|| || Blayne Puklich puklich@Plains.NoDak.EDU "I think I'm going || || NDSU ACM Vice-Chair nopuklic@Vaxosaur.NoDak.EDU bald..." || || NDSU, Fargo, ND This space intentionally left -- Rush, from Caress || || (701) 237-4408 blank. of Steel, 1975 || ||-------------------------------------------------------------------------||
