Our network at Exeter was down for a couple of days and I might have missed any replies, if any, reagarding my inquiry on updating from V1.2 to V1.3. Here is the message again. Dear Andy, Hassles! I have been upgrading minix from V1.2 to V1.3 and I have had problems re-compiling the library sources, namely files ttyname.c times.c, getcwd.c . They can't find include files , types.h, times.h and dir.h from directory /usr/include/sys . The inlcude directory on Disk 1 of the V1.3 distribution does not contain any sub-directories and the h directory on Disk 2 V1.3 does not have the missing files either. So far I had to create the sub-directories minix,sys,fs under /usr/include and decompressed/unarchived the inlcude.a.Z file into directory /usr/include . I then copied all the *.h files from the V1.3 sources found on disk 2 in h/h.a.Z into /usr/include/minix dir ; all the *.h files from fs into /usr/include/fs and copied stat.h from h/h.a.Z into /usr/include/sys. I set up the links as suggested in Section 25 of V1.3 documentation. It seems that the V1.3 distribution missed out the sub-directories under the /usr/include directory etc..
