Hello, I am new to the list so please forgive me if this has been covered to death before. I recently purchased a Jameco JE3005 AT (12 MHz, AMI BIOS) motherboard in hopes of running Minix on it. I've assembled it all, and DOS will boot fine. Minix, however, will not load the root file system. The boot disk loads and i get the fsck screen, but when i try to load the root file system, nothing. The disk drive just sits and spins. When i do a ps (F1), the file system shows as waiting on the floppy task, but apparently this message never comes. I'm using copies of my distribution disks (version 1.3). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks... markus plummer markus@loyvax.bitnet ps: I don't think it's the drive controller. It's the same one i use in a borrowed Zenith AT without a hitch.
