Hello, This is my second posting about the same problem. Thanks to those who answered the first time, but alas, your suggestions didn't pan out so here i am again with (hopefully) more information. I am trying to get MINIX 1.3 to run on a Jameco AT motherboard (JE3005, AMI BIOS, 12 MHz, 0 wait) with a Zenith floppy/hard drive controler (which i borrowed from a Zenith AT on which MINIX runs fine). I get the boot screen without any problem, but when i hit the = to load the root file system from the floppy, the system seems to hang. The F1 dump tells me that FS is waiting on FLOPPY, FLOPPY is waiting on IDLE, and IDLE is waiting on nothing. The only processes whose times go up are IDLE and TTY. Also when i make an empty file system on a floppy and then check it, it says, ".. missing in / (ino = 1) remove?" If i say yes, i get a fatal error; if i say no, it says this: INODE NLINK COUNT 1 2 1 adjust? This has me completely baffled. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks... markus plummer markus@loyvax.bitnet
