I just got Minix 1.3 and I've had a few problems getting it running on my at clone. I got the system distributed on 360 k disks from Prentice Hall. My first problem that was the system wouldn't boot (kept getting the annoying 'press any key to reboot' screen). Since it worked fine on a different computer I isolated my Seagate scsi hd/floppy controller card as the problem. When I put in a separate floppy card I could boot the system from my 1.2meg A drive, but after a short period of accessing a disk on my 360k B drive, it'd suddenly recelebrate, and continue to give errors when I tried to access it. What's really strange is that after resetting the computer regular ms-dos won't access the drive correctly. The only fix is to power down the computer (huh???). I've only taken a quick peek at the floppy.c code but there was nothing that jumped out at me as a probable cause. Any help would be appreciated....also if anyone has any experience with Seagate scsi drivers I enjoy hearing about them (Seagate sez they be a sendin' me a book on 'em, but first hand experience usually beats out tech manuals).
