This is to announce the MINIX Assignment/Project Compendium. The MINIX Assignment/Project Compendium is a compendium of MINIX assignments some of which are suitable for use in a basic OS course lab or as projects in conjunction with OS course work. You may contribute to the compendium by sending your MINIX assignment or project to: bdf@cs.tulane.edu. To encourage contributions: If you choose NOT to contribute to the compendium and REQUEST the compendium, your request will be logged and held locally; a compendium will be sent AFTER a couple of weeks. You will receive a snapshot of the compendium at the time of receipt of your request and thus you will miss out on at least two weeks of timely updates! If you contribute, however, you will be sent the most up-to-date compendium promptly. Those that have contributed in the past will receive PERIODIC UPDATES automatically or be sent the compendium on request. Others will be left with coal. They will not receive timely updates automatically. So get those assignments and projects rolling!! (Past non-contributors that have receibved the compendium via email recently have been grandfathered as contributors, to ease in implementing this policy). -- Brett D.
