There has been considerable interest in my posting that mentioned I have ported David Clunie's YACC to Minix. I have just replied to all the mail I have received on machine dsuvax; for others whose mail I have not seen yet for various reasons, I will post yacc to this newsgroup March 26 or 27. Some background info: Yacc for minix is based on David Clunie's yacc for the pc. YACC for minix uses temporary files to hold data as it builds the state tables, so it isn't very fast if /tmp is on floppy disk. The executable is about 33-36k, so it works very well on standard PC-minix. I have had some trouble building good executables using the PC's ACK C compiler, so I will send out executables to those who request it. The version I have was built to run on PC-Minix 1.3; since I haven't been energetic enough to try to build my Minix 1.5.5 sources into a running system, I can't test yacc on the latest and greatest version of Minix.
