While applying the patches to 1.5.5 from 1.5.3, I noticed that the patches were offsetting by a large degree and about 1/3 of them failed. Has anyone else had this problem??? I didn't think there were any patches to kernel in the 1.5.0 to 1.5.3 set. Did I secretly miss some????? o o ______ _ _____ _ _ o o mcnc!bacchus!beretta!todd ' ' / / / ' ) / // // ' ' or wall-rt@cscosl.ncsu.edu / ______/ __/ / / / __. // // _/ (_) (_/_(_/_ (_(_/ (_/|_</_</_ Durham, North Carolina

You must not unpack the 1.5.3 to 1.5.5 kernel cdiffs, found in the 1.5.5 #2 posting by Dr. Tanenbaum (file 'kernel_00')! Only unpack and use the 1.5.0 to 1.5.5 cdiffs, by Bruce Evans (file '1.5.5ke_00'). > o o ______ _ _____ _ _ o o mcnc!bacchus!beretta!todd > ' ' / / / ' ) / // // ' ' or wall-rt@cscosl.ncsu.edu -- Guy Helmer ...!cs.texas.edu!bigtex!uudell!loft386!dsuvax!ghelmer DSU Computing Services ghelmer@dsuvax.uucp, helmer@sdnet.bitnet "... the quickest way to kill any business is to let the government take it over." - Alan Abelson
