[comp.os.minix] Patching from 1.5.3 to 1.5.5

wall-rt@cscosl.ncsu.edu (Richard Todd Wall) (04/09/90)

While applying the patches to 1.5.5 from 1.5.3, I noticed that the
patches were offsetting by a large degree and about 1/3 of them failed.
Has anyone else had this problem??? I didn't think there were any patches
to kernel in the 1.5.0 to 1.5.3 set. Did I secretly miss some?????

You must not unpack the 1.5.3 to 1.5.5 kernel cdiffs, found in the 1.5.5 #2
posting by Dr. Tanenbaum (file 'kernel_00')! Only unpack and use the 1.5.0 to
1.5.5 cdiffs, by Bruce Evans (file '1.5.5ke_00').
