More interesting is the report that ACS is moving from VAXen to a new processor being built by Western Electric (3B20????). If they are really doing that, we should all make plans to attend the funerals of the poor slobs who have to port VMS to a new machine. Either that, or they will move back to Unix. -Mike PS - an even more horrific thought! The 3B20 is microprogrammable, so the *could* try to write microcode to emulate the 780 instruction set. That would kill more programmers than porting VMS!!
