[comp.os.minix] extended RAM disk

hysell@newkodak.kodak.com (John Hysell) (05/07/90)

Can someone please explain how to instruct MINIX to use the AT's extended

memory for the RAM disk? I have two boot disks (under 1.3) - one sets up the
extended memory so that a 1200 block root disk is loaded into extended RAM,
but the second boot disk complains that 1200 blocks is too large. This second	boot disk doesn't seem to recognize that the AT has over 2 MEG of memory above	the 1MEG start address...

While I am here, I would also like to know how to create more file system
mount points; Whenever I try to mount more than 4 file systems (either PC or STMINIX), I get a FILE TABLE OVERFLOW message.

thanks in advance for any help...
