I know from reading this news group that there exists a public domain yacc program (byacc), but does anyone know of a public domain lex program?

Not wanting to be facitious (spell?)... but doing so anyway, I suggest getting hold of GNU flex from prep.ai.mit.edu (cd pub/gnu). Of course if you've got a PC forget it. Also get GNU bison as the best PD yacc around, version 1.10 has just been released (June 7th). Kevin Maguire Nsfnet : sa44%liv.ac.uk@nsfnet-relay.ac.uk Uucp : ...!mcsun!ukc!liv-ib!sa44

I just finished a compiler course in which I used flex and bison very successfully on a PC under MS-DOS. Is anyone running either of these under PC Minix? I suspect that even if they compile and run, the memory available would be quite limiting. -- John Dudeck "I always ask them, How well do jdudeck@Polyslo.CalPoly.Edu you want it tested?"
