Hi! Has anyone seen cdif files to update UMAIL 3.4 to UMAIL 3.43 ?? If so could some friendly sole please mail those to me. I do have the cdifs to take UMAIL from 3.43 -> 3.44 -> 3.45. The rest of this message is to Fred Van Kempen: Fred, I seem to have difficulties sending mail to you. The last path I tried looked as follows: att!uunet!mcsun!hp4nl!hgatenl!minixug!waltje and I never got a response from that, good or bad. The path att!uunet!mcsun!hp4nl!minixug!waltje came back reporting minixug as unknown. Anyway, what I was trying to get in touch with you about was to tell you the above, that is your cdiffs for UMAIL were against version 3.43, but I haven't seen any patches to grow from 3.4 to 3.43. Please send those to me so that I can update UMAIL. Secondly, I added the ap parameter to dial(3) so now the modem hangs up correctly when the UUCP session is finished. The only remaining issue is what to do when the line is busy or when there are no answer. Currently, dial(3) returns A_PROB, that is an error saying that there is a problem with the ACU, when the line is busy/no answer. Should I add two more parameters to modemcap by busy string (BUSY for most HAYES) na no answer string (NO CARRIER for some HAYES) or should I just try to capture the error message from the modem. The latter runs into problems because the modem echoes the command strings etc. Lars Fredriksen
