From: mo at LBL-UNIX (Mike O'Dell [system]) Date: 28 Aug 1982 00:32:41-PDT The MH mail system from Rand is quite nice, though, like most things, not perfect. MH has the (recursive) notion of folders implemented with directories. Folders are recursive and messages can be cross-filed in multiple folders (links!!). The other novelty is there is no distiguished command interpreter other than the shell! All the mail commands run from the shell, which makes it possible to integrate mail processing into the Unix style of doing business. The other nicety is that with your favorite menu grinder like Menunix, it is simple to dramatically change the user interface. While MH does have its drawbacks, for people who handle lots of mail, it is a god-send. I haven't used "MU" so I can't comment on it, but I can't live without MH any more. -Mike
