For the keeper of the compatiblity list. Minix 1.5.10 runs on... 1. MicroByte PC-230 (V-30 cpu) Minix 1.5.10 runs on a pc230 using bios_wini.c. The serial line etc all work fine. - The only `funny' is with monocrome displays. In that case you need to configure the pc230, using the program `pc230.exe', to be in monocrome EGA mode (not Mono Hercules). MicroByte pointed this out to me. - The bios wini is needed because it uses a SCSI hard disk. I've got a MINIX 1.3 SCSI driver for the PC-230 but I've yet to update it for 1.5 2. MicroByte PC-230sx (386sx cpu) Minix 1.5.10 runs on this machine, again using bios_wini.c. (For this machine (new) I only had the chance to see if MINIX would boot) regards Andrew Cagney

I guess I should add my voice to the buzz. Minix runs on my machine flawlessly. There, howz that? :-) It's a Fujikama 12MHz AT (286) with a Miniscribe 3650 42.5Meg hard drive, hercules. Had to recompile with at_makefile and at_wini.c to get the hard drive to be recognized, and runs in protected mode with 384K of extended memory. (And _man_ is comic ever ssslllloowwww. :-) ) -- "The number of programs that can be done with the HST has always greatly exceeded the time available for their execution, and this remains true even with the telescope in its current state." -- HST Science Working Group and User's Commitee Report, 1990 June 29.
