A while ago I asked a question regarding disk partitions and the Minix program dos[dir|read|write]. Here's the answer: Minix can't access a DOS 3.3 EXTENDED partition (without being modified). If you use the OnTrack software, and create what they call a "WRITE/READ" partition, then Minix likes it just fine. Unfortunately, the Norton Disk Doctor program (NDD, advanced edition 4.50) chokes on this "WRITE/READ" partition. I don't know why. The Minix fdisk program will trash your DOS partition (as far as DOS is concerned) if you use the S option to decrease the size of the partition by one block. I don't know why; maybe DOS isn't smart enough to access a partition which doesn't start with the "first" head and ending with the "last" head. Create the partitions appropriately from the beginning.
