I recently began the upgrade process from v1.3d (PC MINIX) to 1.5.0 (and, eventually, to 1.5.10). I'm using the upgrade kit from plains.nodak.edu:/pub/Minix/updates/1.5. Anyway, it seems to be going well, but I've got a few files that I can't get the correct CRC for, and I also have a few questions. First, the questions: There seem to be two "ibm" subdirectories in the MINIX source tree. One of them is listed in the "dirtree" file, and is lib/ibm. The other is not listed in the "dirtree" file, but I found it in the upgrade archive as ibm.0[0-1].Z. I'm assuming that the former corresponds to IBM.??.Z in the archive, and that the latter is supposed to go in commands/ibm. Are these assumptions correct? My other questions are pretty basic -- Am I getting the correct upgrade package, and if so, where do I get the 1.5.0 -> ... -> 1.5.10 upgrades? Now, the request: I can't seem to get the proper CRC for the following files. If you have either v1.3d or 1.5.0, I'd appreciate it if you could drop me a line; I'll figure out who's closest, and have them e-mail me the files. (Please don't send them now, as I don't really need 15 copies, and I don't have the disk quota to store them all!) commands/ibm/fdisk.c commands/mined/mined1.c kernel/rs232.c kernel/tty.c lib/ansi/fgetc.c lib/ansi/fopen.c lib/ansi/fputc.c lib/ibm/brksize.s lib/ibm/setjmp.s Now that I think about it, there may be more, because I haven't yet run crc on the mm, tools, or test directories.
