Hi all; I hope this gets out to the real world, but here it goes. 1) Wmail. Has Fred posted the new Wmail he mentioned over a month ago? I lose ALOT of mail, but would realy like this. I'm trying to talk my school (Northeastern University) into switching from XENU to MINIX, and the best of everything will help make the package most attractive. Could someone mail the newest Wmail and the IP address of info@minixug.hobby.nl (it's not in our tables). 2) UUCP Though there are 3 copies of uucp on plains.nodak.edu, I assume the newest and largest file is really the most current. The problem is that some postings mention programs that the package doesn't have (is there another out there?) The installation instructions with that don't seem to work correctly. I set stuff up like it said and regular users could do nothing. The biggest is that it doesn't work with bcc-32bits and Estdio. It compiles but does nothing. I had a file test and tried to copy it to test2 and nothing happened. It just returned after doing ZIP. It also has a bug where it tries to close files not opened in the routine bye, if it is run without args. This is easy to fix, the rest I'll leave to someone who knows what uucp is doing. 3) Elvis Compiles and runs fin in 32-bit mode. I'll try Elle4.1 (where's 4.1b? that comes with PH1.3) I've also noticed several bugs, such as the spuratic logout and the read/execute requierment bugs. I'll try to keep a log and report a little better ASAP.
