[comp.os.minix] Serial line problem

sschnellm@cc.curtin.edu.au (08/17/90)

I have come accross a curious problem. I'm running a "stock" version
1.3HP MINIX on an AT clone. So far I have had no troubles.

Then I tried to connect a second PC to the serial line and set it up.
When I enter

    cat file > /dev/tty1

I receive the first character on the PC screen and the nothing.
There is no error in the connections, I checked that. I did enter a new
line in /etc/ttys which says

    101

to create a new process for the new terminal.

Can anybody help me ???
