"Hi, I'm new to Minix, and I was wondering..." How many times have we heard that, or something like that? Well, I have this habit of trying to answer this type of questioning, and have, as such, composed quite a list of FAQ's -- Frequently Asked Questions. Many of them are answered in the Info Sheet, posted monthly. Some are not. What I am proposing is a separate, supplemental sheet that answers this type of question. What I would like any or all of you to do is this: send any ideas for questions, or what you know are common questions, to me. I will organize them, weed out those that are answered in existing sheets, and then post the results on a regular basis. Some possible question lines could be: * What group is Minix targeted for? * How difficult is it to set up? * What kind of software is available for it? * Differences in versions, how to get them, etc... Now there are probably hundreds of things I'm missing, and I know that the Info sheet (and the Compatibility Sheet, to an extent) touch on those areas I've listed above. So please help me out here. Thanks, by the way, to Greg Montgomery, who sent me a list of 20+ questions to start with...none of which I had ever thought about before. If this works out, it might not be a bad idea to have a watchdog group for the newsgroup, to weed out letters containing questions and answer them.
