[comp.os.minix] Making a 1.5 libc.a

fidelio@ai.mit.edu (Rob J. Nauta) (09/09/90)

Hello
I'm trying to build a 1.5 libc.a. I've unpacked libsrc.a in a directory,
applied the patcheds in ansi, posicx and other, added the .s files from
the ibm_pc dir, and compiled everything. Then I run into trouble, with
too many files in the dir to do a ls, the shell being unable to expand
'*.s', when it does, lorder produces a file, which tsort rejects because
of loops. I've been working in it for 4 days, and i'm feeling like
tossing 1.5 in the buin and sticking with 1.3 Can someone tell me what
I have to do, or send me a ready libc.a 1.5 (i have the libsrc.a, thoughj
in alfabethical order) ...

Thanks in advance, Rob

Common problem. I describe how to create a library, and provide some
scripts to do it for you in my "Upgradng Tutorial". Snag it from
plains.nodak.edu:pub/Minix/doc/Upgrading (or via archive-server@plains....)
