I'd be in favor of splitting this newsgroup to sources/non-sources if there were enough sources posted here to warrant it. Currently there aren't. Andy's probably right when he says wait a little bit for the Mac/Amiga folks to come on line. Actually, if someone does do a sources/non-sources split, the sources group should be moderated by someone from the referees group. Now, a small bug I've noticed. I'm currently running 1.5.10 on a 286. My personal account uid=101, gid=10. I read a file (using W-Mail 3.44) and saved it to disk. It was owned by root (uid=gid=0). No problem, I did a chown to my account. Now the file was owned by me, but I still couldn't read it, even though I had read/write privilege. And I couldn't do a chmod on it, either. I copied the file and then I could do a chmod on the copy, but when I looked at it, the copy was owned by bin (uid=gid=2). This is quite bizarre. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
