HELP! We are trying to get Minix1.5 (P-H version) up and running on some 386 portable. We have no problems to get things running using the BIOS wini.c, but fail miserably when trying any other version including the new "generic" xt-driver (posted a little while ago). We would like to get Bruce's 386 version running. Maybe one of you guys in netland could give us some hints. The hard disk we have is a "Maxtor XT3480E" and the controller has at least one chip with a gold label saying "Omti 8620", and something about "maker's of fine disk and SCSI controllers". We'd appreciate any info (sources?). -johannes ruscheinski-
