Hello Folks out there in the Net! Last night I tried to compile elvis, this (perhaps) neat vi-clone. I compiled it, using ACK on my ATARI-Minix 1.1 (Yes, I know about 1.5, but first I have to earn this lot of money for it!). I made a "make" exactly as described in the Readme-file. Everything seemed to be okay, no errors occured. After some cups of coffee my system said alright to elvis. The only change I made was changing the tmp-directory from "/usr/tmp" to "/tmp" ('cause on /usr I mount ACK...)(Time to get my Harddisk!) Okay, I next tried elvis: "elvis Makefile". But -- what happened? I got a "sig=11 to pid=..." and in the next line a "Memory fault". Oh well, I have 2.5MByte main memory, minus 1MByte Ramdisk, minus minix. How much memory does elvis use? Did I make something wrong? If there is anybody who could help me, I would be *very* thankful, as I said, I wont have 1.5.10 before end of November! Ciao, Michael.
